Investment philosophy
E&G invests in a combination of shareholders capital, and, if necessary, debt raised from our trusted partners among international financial institutions, which enables us to invest with a long-term vision.
The nature of our capital enables us to focus solely on identifying the best ideas, allocating sufficient time and resources to conduct thorough due diligence, and responding to arising opportunities swiftly. We invest for full market cycles, leveraging knowledge and patience to fully participate in the success of our portfolio companies.
In our selection process we primarily look for predictable cash flows, assets with reliable operating history with positive operating characteristics, conservative regulatory and capital structures.

Our goal is to create long-term value based upon growth, profitability and security by investing throughout the capital structure and across asset classes.
ENERGY
The energy industry is changing. Reliable and affordable energy is pivotal for growth and prosperity. The global energy transition is taking shape and renewables have now firmly established themselves in the energy mix.
It is our strong opinion that natural gas will continue to play a essential role as an efficient and flexible heat and power source in Europe and globally. As the cleanest traditional fuel natural gas can contribute a significant share to meeting ambitious emission reduction targets, for example by switching electricity generation from coal and oil products to natural gas. Also natural gas in the form of CNG and LNG has interesting applications as a fuel for maritime and road transport and has some environmental advantages over oil product fuels.
With our investments in natural gas infrastructure we confirm our stance on the future of natural gas. E&G acknowledges the need of the whole sector to prepare for decarbonisation. Although a single pathway has not yet been determined, it is our opinion that hydrogen is likely to play a role in most scenarios and we see synergies with natural gas here that we are curious to explore.
The company takes a special interest in the research and development of the new sources of environmentally friendly energy solutions.

We also see the investment in natural resources and precious metals in particular as a good portfolio diversifier, a hedge against inflationary risks and an extra measure of security in a volatile geo-political environment.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND REAL ESTATE
We see infrastructure and real estate investments as a part of our focus on predictable cash flow and reliability. We concentrate our infrastructure investments on our key knowledge field of energy, natural gas storage and transportation in particular. In real estate we spotlight high end real estate in communities that we feel a strong connection with.
